Visit and bonfire on the island of Krk!

Doživetje na otoku Krku

Every year there comes a time when it blooms and the weather becomes pleasant. After the winter period and the cloudy and foggy weather, we are once again taking a breather on the Croatian island of Krk. Many times already known as the Slovenian island, because many Slovenians and also foreigners travel to it due to its close proximity and the large bridge that separates the island from the mainland.

What is this blog anyway? Well, here we have described how it is easy to have fun and at the same time visit one of the most famous Slovenian summer destinations before it is too busy with tourists and traffic jams.

Every year we stop and gather on a private plot of 3,000 square meters. This is about 50 meters from the sea and has great access to the beach. A very pleasant location, which is at least 1 km away from the first houses, is unique for socializing in nature. There is also a natural camp nearby where anyone can bring a trailer. The campsite is very affordable because it is natural and does not have drinking water or electricity so that it is considered as an overnight stay with a view of the sea.

When we are all gathered and rested from the journey, we prepare everything for the evening party. Fill the ice chest with food and drink. The plot also needs to be prepared and mowed, so everyone helps with the traditional mowing of the grass with a lawnmower or tractors. If he sets someone on fire, he can immediately throw himself into the sea and cool off, as the water is usually still quite cold. A table with benches and a chest of drinks are also brought. Set up the grill and all the utensils for grilling meat. Of course, you also need to collect some wood and prepare for the bonfire.

In the evening, we create a fun atmosphere and make a fire. When the bonfire starts burning, so does the music. The atmosphere becomes unforgettable and unique. The food begins to be prepared and the delicacies are placed on the tables. We all start reaching for the food and talking about interesting topics. After dinner, we all gather around the bonfire and relax with music and drinks.

The next day is the day for another experience with a boat.
